Good Feeling #2 – An Unseen India
Prashant Mhatre - Capturing another moment of an Unseen India |
It is all about the passion,
he feels for the country
in which we were born.
On February 7th,
2020 Prashant made his debut in Kolkata as the founder of his newly launched
venture TRAVEL UNSEEN INDIA. Don’t
get me wrong when I write, Prashant made his debut in Kolkata. He has been to
the City of Joy on other occasions too; mostly when he had to travel due to his
work. But this was going to be his first ever vacation in the official city of
Biggie Biggie Bong Bongs. Accompanied by his wife, Prashant’s arrived in
Kolkata during late evening hours. He was travelling by the Mumbai CST – Howrah
Duronto Express (12261), which got delayed unreasonably. This is that very
trip, which I think could have made his resolve stronger to present an India
still unseen by the world.
Since Prashant
and Swati’s trip was timed around one of the yet-to-fade-month of winter
(February), it was unexpected of how Kolkata was going to surprise them. As
their host and fellow traveler, I was more than eager to witness this surprise
unfold; even though the City of Joy is my hometown. So, the moment we boarded a
local train, we were left speechless to find ourselves being the only bunch
with no warm clothes on us. We were surrounded with travelers and their thick woolen
wraps (Pran Jaaye Par Sweater Na Jaaye). To everyone’s surprise, we three were unhesitatingly enjoying the pleasant weather. No one was interested in switching
on the fan. And any attempt to rebel against this action could have invited
trouble for us. But, no one will interpret it as hilariously as Prashant did
and we followed it up with our mounds of relentless laughter. Someday, if
Prashant seriously sits down to write an account of his first footloose
vacation in Kolkata, he is going to open the world’s eyes to an Unseen City of
Odds.
But Prashant’s
venture of Travel Unseen India (http://travelunseenindia.com/)
is more than just an account of a city or the travels within them. It is all
about the passion, he feels for the country in which we were born. It is all
about the rare attributes of innumerable journeys, which one can embark upon
between Kashmir and Kanyakumari or between Mumbai and the Meghalayas. As I
write this, I am reminded of that one quote, my innumerable google searches has
fetched me - Explore the unseen.
Adventure awaits. I know the kind of database comprising unexplored
adventures, which Prashant has been building for years in his mind, and in his
heart; ever since he started traveling across India. His wife Swati has been
his constant partner.
To help you dive
deeper in India’s Discovery with Prashant’s Travel Unseen India, I wish to add something
interesting in here. Much before I purchased my first Nikon D3000, Prashant
already had his own. On innumerable occasions, he never hesitated to lend me
his camera. But, what I clearly remember about his passion for travel, is that
specific moment from Kashmir, when he pulled out his camera to capture the
rising layers of snow and the day’s changing colors. I think, this is when I
had sensed a deeper instinct of a seamless traveler in Prashant. And I am not
surprised, when he jokingly declares himself as the ‘lost son of Kashmir’.
Thus, when every
Indian started complying with its first ever phase of a total lockdown on March
25, 2020; Prashant cheered us all up by launching http://travelunseenindia.com/. The
holy occasion of Gudi Padwa – the Maharashtrian New Year marked the beginning
of this new entrepreneur’s journey into the world of experiential tourism.
Prashant Mhatre finally made that much awaited announcement of making his
services available to take you to the Unseen Richness of India. Trust me, he
has just started and Prashant is going to go places. Just visit the website and
you will realize how meticulously, Prashant has compiled the finest things, one
should enjoy as a tourist/ traveler/ seeker. As his friend and his fellow traveler
in many of his journeys, I finished navigating through his debut venture in one
day’s time.
So, as I reach
closer to the concluding part of this post, I was trying to end it on a
memorable note. But you know, who came to my rescue? Prashant and his own
words, which I am happily quoting down here:
A traveler who has converted his Passion into
his Profession. Wants to Showcase Unseen India to the World. When you can't
Travel physically, then travel virtually. See Unseen India with us. On this
occasion of Gudi Padwa I am happy to launch my website... www.travelunseenindia.com. Do visit the same. Please click the below mentioned

time, I share another good feeling start planning to Travel Unseen India.
